Name: Eject
Gender: Mech
Faction: Autobot
Associates/Family: Blaster, Rewind, Ramhorn, Steeljaw
What you can expect: Eject is an energetic mech whose enthusiasm often outstrips his common sense. Despite his small size, he readily takes on any challenge head-on. Sometimes this works out, and sometimes he gets in over his head. He is brave and well-meaning, if not always up to the challenges he faces. He is quite friendly, and while not inclined to hold a grudge, does have a temper. When he gets excited, he tends to talk very fast.
His passion is sports. Earth sports are what sparked his interest, but he enjoys sports of all kinds, form any civilization, though he does have a preference for those that don’t end in death and dismemberment. Different things about different sports fascinate him, from football to boxing to skateboarding to ballet, he loves it all and will definitely rant about it given the slightest opportunity.
His specialty is surveillance. Eject is a consummate multitasker, able to process different information feeds simultaneously. Perhaps because of this, he has a tendency to get distracted in everyday life. His mind is constantly jumping from one thing to the other, and he needs to be reminded to focus. In battle, his sheer audacity is often his greatest weapon, because nobody expects to see a minibot launch itself at his or her face, but he also has a very handy set of stun-rifles.
His alt mode is a sophisticated and highly sensitive parabolic antennae. It looks rather like a satellite dish, and Eject refers to its shape as a “receiver.” When in alt-mode he is able to process feeds much faster and coordinate an astonishing amount of data. He can also extend his influence further than normal. He cannot speak in alt-mode, and instead uses nearby electronic devices to communicate. The effect can be rather eerie: several devices within a certain radius all speaking in unison.
Appearances: Eject has only had minor parts in the IDW comic universe, but his few appearances have been memorable. Notably, he kicked some serious aft in the GI Joe crossover event published by Devil’s Due, appearing in the Black Horizon story arc (which is not canon to IDW, I don’t think, but still pretty fun). He beat the slag out of some S.N.A.K.E. mechs as well as some Pretender Monsters. Oh, and he chilled out with Firewall and watched some fashion TV.
He does consider fashion a sport.
